Nestled on a large ocean view parcel on the beautiful Santa Barbara Riviera sits this gorgeous contemporary residence designed by Seattle-based Olson Kundig architects. In this home, Kundig’s use of glass, steel and concrete portrays their mission to create homes that are both a shelter from the elements and a place to interact with them. The stunning landscape was designed by local landscape architect, Lane Goodkind. For this particular project Goodkind and his team created a ‘rain chain’ for water to flow under the main terrace and out into a large meadow of drought tolerant grasses. Additionally, native mow-free meadows were used as a drought turf substitute.
