B+U Designing This Decade’s Most Innovative Cultural, Architectural Spaces

B+U is an architecture and urban design firm in Los Angeles, established in 1999 by architects Herwig Baumgartner and Scott Uriu, which blows our mind. Involved in some of this decades most impressive projects such as the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, Egypt, the Oslo Opera House in Norway, the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Redcat Theater in Los Angeles and Chicago’s Millennium Park, the firm has worked with such greats as Frank Gehry. The projects are not only amazing in aesthetic look and feel but they are all designed with the concepts of innovation, technology and sustainability in mind, presenting this era’s mot impressive, progressive, environmental spaces that are equally beautiful and stunning to the eye.

According to B+U, their work is often informed by experimenting with concepts and techniques outside the architectural profession, including music, science, and computation. They utilize the techniques and resources of new technologies, which are unique to Los Angeles and are a confluence from the movie industry, aerospace engineering, medical technology and manufacturing, automotive industries, as well as a subculture of craftsman, inventors and entrepreneurs.

We can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
